I love the idea of using ‘different’ marketing techniques rather than the usual same old same old. You know: “Make the price end in a 7″, “Offer loads of freebies that are actualy worth nothing”, “Pretend there are only a few places for signups”. I’m not stupid (I hope!) and neither are you, so we all know that offers such as that aren’t really offers at all. And every time I see a price ending in 7, it makes me cringe (sorry!)

Twitter for Business – a quote
I was asked to provide a quote for a Twitter for Business ebook recently. If you’re a regular over at Business on Twitter you’ll know that I am a massive fan of using Twitter for business, and our Tweetmentor programme is going great guns with business people wanting to make the most of the microblogging service.
My quote?
Twitter is what business people 12 months in the future will wish they knew about 12 months in the past
I fully believe that if you’re not making the most of Twitter right now, you’re missing out – and by the time you do recognise the potential, it may already be too late.
