Just a quickie – we’ve recently been using a fab free service called Social Mention that not only offers real time search for the places your name or brand is appearing, but also analyses those mentions for tone and meaning. Find out if the talk about you online is negative, positive or neutral!
They also offer daily Social Media Alerts, which are like Google alerts but for a variety of social media applications – again it’s free and well worth checking out if you want to see where you’re being talked about. Read more...

I have a client with an almost finished Wordpress site that now needs some programming.
The client restores art and frames pictures. The programming is needed to create some sort of ‘engine’ that will walk a customer through the framing process so that they can choose and buy a frame.
The client has very specific needs and expectations, and after 5 people not understanding the process via email feels that he needs someone he can sit down with over a coffee and explain while drawing diagrams.
Some work has been done on this, but it may be easier to start from scratch on the framing engine. Read more...

This is one I’m being asked a lot at the moment, so worth a blog in the hope that it will help others.
We’ve already talked in the past about adding FBML to your Facebook Page in order to make custom tabs, now let’s look at how to embed Flash into them (it won’t take long!).
First you need an image and the Flash file on your server somewhere so that you have URLs for each. Your Flash file will end in .swf, your image in .jpg or similar.
Your image needs to be the same pixel size as your Flash file. Read more...

We’ve not had the best of luck with car rental companies recently (personally, not professionally, as anyone following Nikki on twitter or Facebook knows), so were really happy to hook up with a company that knows about customer service and great rates.
Courtesy Vehicles Solutions offer car hire in Belfast, and pride themselves on their great prices and fantastic service – and we have to say that they’re fab to work for!
