A big no-no where search engines are concerned is broken links.
Maybe you’ve renamed a page, or moved it, and not updated the link.
Maybe an external link no longer works.
Maybe you’ve accidentally linked to a file on your PC rather than your server and haven’t noticed.
Whatever the reason, a broken link is bad news.
Use the W3C link validation tool at http://validator.w3.org/checklink to check your site for broken links now
