This will be really boring for some of you, so sorry in advance.

Of the traffic that my website has received in the last month, 38.52% comes from search engines, 29.93% comes direct and 31.34% comes from links on other sites.

Of the links on other sites, Ecademy makes up 17.45% of the traffic.

Here’s the bit that interests me though…

Of the traffic that comes from Ecademy:

63.08% of it comes from my profile page

19.23% of it comes from Marketplace

9.23% of it comes from links in blogs

8.46% of it comes from the front page

Now, on the front page of Ecademy, they have a kind of ‘Twitter’ that is called ‘Status’ – basically you can tell other Ecademists what you are dong, and the latest 4 or 5 appear on the front page. I update mine many tims throughout the day in order to increase my exposure on the front page, and usually have my web address in there.

Looking at my traffic stats, almost as much traffic comes from the status update on the front page, as comes from any blogs that I write or contribute to.

And this has only been happening since I started including my website address in my status update.

So, my tip for you? Always put your web address in your status update if possible, on Ecademy and elsewhere..

Other posts you may be interested in:

No Related Post
