Need help with Blogging?
If you’ve got a small business and an Internet presence and you’re not already blogging, it can only be for one reason. You must be unaware of the terrific results and benefits that blogging brings to businesses all across the world. In a study, over 1500 SMEs were polled as to whether they blogged or not. Roughly 50% said Yes, and 50% said No. But the results of the study were a complete no-brainer. The 50% that blogged received a brilliant 55% more visitors, a phenomenal 97% more inbound links and a whopping 434% more search engine indexed pages. This means when a small business blogs, it gets impressive results. It gets more traffic, and this means more potential customers. What is SOPA?
Nobody would deny that the Internet is a wonderful resource, whether it’s for information, entertainment or communication. But in recent years, most specifically, film and music companies as well as the actors/actresses and musicians themselves have been faced with decreasing sales largely down to illegal downloads and piracy. SOPA, or the Stop Online Piracy Act, is a bill (proposed... [Continue Reading]Charities and not for profits – could you be eligible for a Google Grant?
Using their power for good, Google has launched a campaign aimed at raising the awareness of charities. A guest post by Henry Fitzgerald Twitter has changed its layout. If I’ve learned anything at all from social media, it’s this: Every time Facebook changes anything, no matter how minute, people will complain. While everyone champions the phrase, change is good, the moment it actually comes into contact with our News Feeds, we’re ready to revolt against the highest of... Someone want a cookie? Alas no, I’m not talking about the chocolate-chip variety, but instead the little bytes of memory that are stored on your computer by websites. Like how your computer remembers login details, or how adverts for ‘black shoes’ appear in a web page side- bar after you’ve just been doing a spot of retail therapy in... [Continue Reading]
